i think the thing i hate most about how the MCU is going about the Young Avengers is that it's robbing all of them from their connections to each other, by having them already being (and practically complete) their arcs without each other

Am I wrong for wanting solid revenge readers? Like they go full evil and psycho after being hurt? Like in a neglected reader story, they go revenge crazy and kill people? Or they got cheated on, so they snap? And like they stay evil, they don't easily go back to being nice and sweet like 'oh you apologised okie!' Instead, saying 'hmm, let me think about it... fuck. No.' or they don't just move on they are super petty and hit them where it hurts doing whatever it takes to make them feel how the reader felt? Maybe they become a full villain and join the villains after a hero hurt them and the villains become yandere along with the hero. Maybe they go off making their own way like Harley Quinn with the baddass speech and everything.

ngl boeing and boston showing up in the preview together for next week's episode had me laughing out loud because it just took me so off guard

You know what? I just realized what Peggy’s whole constant inserting in others’ stories reminds me of.

It reminds me of the Y/N povs on TikTok, like, the bad ones.

Not the ones with good editing, characterization and all that jazz, those where the perfect most beautiful and powerful girl who has the same powers as Wanda but stronger and in another color and is somewhat related to Tony or experimented on and has a relationship with either Steve or Bucky or Loki. That’s who she reminds me of.

Because a perfectly healthy, wealthy and respected white girlie with very predictable features having some main avenger’ powers (who casually enough is the only avenger whose storyline is about being a disable poor ass immigrant, but I digress) and being somewhat stronger and better than them, and then going around saving other characters and solving their own arcs really is some Y/N type of shit.

Like, if I told you “random girl who’s a supersoldier and beautiful and amazing and everyone wants to be her gets teleported in another universe as the savior of said world by the most powerful being in the franchise (who is apparently not powerful enough but random girl is)”, would you tell me it’s an actual marvel storyline, or would you think it’s a fanfiction or a pov?

I swear I’m losing my mind over this, it gets funnier every second I think more about it.

Now I never watched the show before I ended up sitting down with my little cousin and doing so, but it's wild to me the longevity of the show, it transcended eras

When MLP: FIM premiered its contemporaries were Star Wars The Clone Wars, Young Justice, Transformers Prime, Regular Show, Adventure Time, Ben 10 Ultimate Alien, Avengers Eearth's Mightiest Heroes, Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated, Phineas and Ferb, Batman the Brave and the Bold, etc

And when it ended, it's contemporaries were Amphibia, Gen: Lock, Harley Quinn, Infinity Train, Rick and Morty, Rise of the TMNT, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, Star Wars Resistance, Transformers Cyberverse, Ducktales (2017), RWBY, Ninjago, The Amazing World of Gumball, Ben 10 (2016), etc

Not only that, but it also outlived a number of shows that released after it premiered, like Steven Universe, Ben 10 Omniverse, Voltron Legendary Defender, Gravity Falls, TMNT (2012), The Legend of Korra, Transformers Robots in Disguise (2015), Star Wars Rebels, etc some of which being successors/sequels to shows it was originally airing alongside (Star Wars The Clone Wars-Star Wars Rebels, Transformers Prime-Transformers RID2015, Ben 10 Ultimate Alien-Ben 10 Omniverse)
